I challenge you to a purse!

This was way harder than it looks.

Acclaimed artist Andrew Thornton (of Allegory Gallery in Ligonier, PA) recently asked -- very nicely, I might add -- folks to post something new or a favorite work.

I'd just finished this customized purse for Julie Guilbeau Jernigan. Now, I hadn't made a purse since I took a class several years ago with Kathleen Halverson Dustin, and I'd forgotten how challenging its design and construction could be. But I'm thrilled with how it turned out!
