Another Season on the Bench
This time last year, I was incredibly psyched to be invited to my first gallery show at Opal Fine Arts in Leonardtown, MD. It was their inaugural jewelry show, and I guess it went well, because they have decided to do it again.
So, this year, I am even more psyched to be invited back to the 2nd Annual "Off the Jeweler's Bench" show at Opal!
Last year, I submitted a few random pieces that were the best of my work, and they sort of coordinated, color wise. This year, I created a matching collection made specifically for this show (4 related pieces, below). If last year was any indication, the event is not to be missed for one-of-a-kind jewelry! I even bought a couple of pieces last year, because it was so great.
– Triple Moon Drop Earrings, with Tourmalinated Quartz & Black Spinel –
– Celestial Evil Spider Princess Necklace, with Black Spinel –
– Polymer Clay Inlaid Channel Bangles –
– Seussian Drop Necklace, with Onyx & Tourmalinated Quartz –
This year's invited artists are:
Bud Adams, Cristina Caguin, Chris Donaldson, Barbara Hance, Julie Jernigan, Laura Lisak, Kennedi Milan, Nancy Parker, Terri Powell (hey, that's me!) and Cynthia Rosenblatt.
Here's the postcard for the event – touch the image & you'll be linked to the Gallery's Facebook page. The Opening Reception will be Friday, May 4 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, but the exhibit will run most of the month.
